Ally Condie

Allyson Braithwaite Condie is an author of young adult and middle grade fiction. Her novel Matched was a #1 New York Times and international bestseller, and spent over a year on the New York Times Bestseller List. (Winner of Reese’s Book Club, June 2024).

She is also the author of the novel Summerlost, an Edgar Award Finalist for Best Juvenile Mystery, the New York Times bestselling novel Atlantia, and the co-author of the Darkdeep middle grade series.

JOHNNY WORTHEN is an award-winning, multiple-genre, hybrid, tie-dye-wearing author, voyager, and damn fine human being! Trained in literary criticism and cultural studies, he writes upmarket fiction, long and short, mentors others where he can, and teaches at the University of Utah.

“I write what I like to read,” says Johnny. “That guarantees me at least one fan.”

Cindy King

Cindy King is the author of Zoonotic (2022), and two poetry chapbooks, Easy Street (2021) and Lesser Birds of Paradise (2022). Her latest poetry manuscript won the C&R Poetry Book Award and will be published in 2024. Her next chapbook will be released by Galileo Press in 2024.

She has been teaching creative writing, poetry, creative nonfiction, and fiction as an associate professor at Utah Tech University since 2016.

Lisa Mangum

Lisa Mangum, author and editor, is best known for her young adult romance trilogy, The Hourglass Door. She started as an editor at Deseret Book in 1997, and became the editorial manager at Shadow Mountain in 2014.
She received Foreword Reviews INDIES awards for the first two novels in The Hourglass Door trilogy. She also won two Whitney Awards: one for her 2012 novel, After Hello, and one for outstanding achievement in 2019.

Julie Wright

Julie Wright is a two-time winner of the Whitney award for best romance with her books "Cross My Heart" and "Lies Jane Austen Told Me" and was a finalist for "Death Thieves."

The America Library Association listed “Glass Slippers, Ever After, and Me” in their 2020 top ten best romances and "A Captain for Caroline Gray" in their 2021 top ten best romances.

She's written twenty-six novels and co-authored half a dozen more.

Darren Edwards

Darren M. Edwards loves bacon and anything with blue cheese on it. He writes stuff, you know, like novels, essays, and poems. Sometimes they get published, which is cool. His first book, "Utah Sport Climbing: Stories and Reflections on the Bolting of the Beehive State," was published by The History Press in January 2017. He was the managing editor of The Independent from 2016 to 2017.
